8 x 8 oil on board Last year I purchased these pictures in white washed frames......I covered the picture with gesso and then painted over them......so now I have these wonderful painting surfaces that are already framed!!!! I painted a couple of them when we were home in Ohio, but I found a few more in my closet in Florida......I think I should clean out the closet, who knows what I may find!!!!

This picture & painting was painted during a workshop with Judy & Larry Pumfrey this past weekend. I had a couple rub off's but the 3rd painting was OK! As always we can find fault with everything we paint. But at least I didn't rub this one off. Larry did a couple demo's, just to watch the process is a learning process. It truly is about Practice, Practice and more Practice.

Black & White Checks Study

This is the project I've worked on for the past couple of days. Sometimes you have to let it dry, before you can go back in. With so much white on the "Cup" it was beginning to get "chalky". The strawberries were blocked in, so I will need to work on them also. My husband said that I like to work on complicated pieces, but I think the attraction is the reflection on a shinny surface that I'm attracted too. Maybe it's like my granddaughter that loves that "Bling Bling".
