This is totally awesome! Love the colors. I could hardly drag myself away watching you paint the other day. I almost....almost...want to. I need to get away from this whimsey stuff I had been doing for a couple of years. If only I could paint like you. I remembered that collage artist. It was Nancy Gable. See? I told you I would. But I was a little late! I emailed Char.
6"x6" Oil on Panel Since I was in the citrus mood, I decided to paint orange slices on a plate. I just love this plate it came with a little cup, which is also square. I love the abstract element in this one. Plus the wonderful reflection in the shadow on the plate.
6" x 6" Oil on Canvas Board Mint Chocolate Chip! Yum! Since the "paint around" at Dreama's workshop I decided to paint cupcakes in one hour or less! What fun! No pressure! Just paint!
8" x 10" Oil on Canvas The conversation was about Bonnard. I had a chance to see several large painting by Bonnard in the Phillips Museum in Washington, DC. His paintings are mostly about the design of patterns. Last fall I was in Rome, just happened to be lucky enough to see a exhibition of works by Matisse & Bonnard. Most of them were small works, so this collection was a true joy to see!
