10" x 8" on Canvas Board Today was the start of the "30 paintings in 30 days" challenge created by Leslie Saeta.  This past year was a big one for me......not only did I take a workshop with Dreama Tolle Perry in Paris.....Ky! but I got to take a workshop with Jerry Fresia in Lenno, Italy.  This was my 25th wedding anniversary present from my number one guy......we spent a week on the beautiful Lake Como then we did a 7 day barge trip down the Rhine.  What can you say.....it was dreamland. My artist journey has had many streets and avenues with major intersections that has change my visual poetry.  The workshop with Dreama made me understand transperant colors in oil and how to use them.  Jerry talk me the" mechanics of impressionism" taught to him by Bill Schultz who was taught by Robert Brackman who intern studied with Monet during the rise of impressionism in France.  So let the games begin!

In Full Bloom 11" x 13" I'm committed!  I joined Leslie Saeta's Challenge "30 Paintings in 30 Days".  This is about making yourself paint everyday (or almost everyday, you can paint a few ahead), then post on her blog. She has almost 200 artist committed how fun is this going to be?  I think I finally have the website, facebook and blog ready for 2013.  As most of you know I took the WebinArts Workshop with Leslie Saeta on using todays social media to market your Art.  I still have much to do but the basic designs are finished.  It was a wonderful learning experience, she is starting another one in January 2013, you may want to check it out.  

Silver Reflections 11" x 14" Watercolor I've decided to do Leslie Saeta's challenge of 30 paintings in 30 days!  WOW!  As many of you have noticed in the pass few days I've been updating my Facebook, Website and Blog.  It really is  all about marketing....In September I took an on line workshop with Leslie Saeta (Webinarts)  .  I can't begin to tell you how much I've learned bydoing this class.  My learning curve has been a little slow but I'm still working on the class projects.  Students have access to the blog site for up to 6 months, so you can take your work at your own pase. She is offering another one starting in January.  It's the best investment you can make if you are serious about your ART!

This was painted on Friday . .   It's about 9x12. . . .the day was very gray, but the sun came out a couple of times.  Jerry added a few brush strokes. . . So it's a Jerry & me painting.  We got to the boat, had great first night.  Today we're off to the black forest.
